Wefapress and Wikiplast intensify cooperation

Since June 19, 2018, Wefapress has been a shareholder in the Italian company Wikiplast Srl . The two companies have announced the start of a long-term strategic alliance. Wefapress, the specialist for individual plastic solutions from Vreden, Germany, has acquired 50 percent of the shares in Wikiplast.

A few years ago, Wefapress withdrew almost completely from the Italian market and found a valuable partner for its products in the PE sector in Wikiplast. Now they are taking this joint commitment to a higher level. The new constellation is a step forward for both companies as they combine their competencies even more closely – especially in automotive and mechanical engineering.

Vanni Vicari, who is taking a well-deserved retirement as Wikiplast shareholder with his wife Patricia Cavalli, is convinced that he is leaving his shares in good hands.

Wefapress is a manufacturer of ultra-high molecular weight and high molecular weight polyethylene and processes these and other engineering plastics into finished parts and semi-finished products. The offer ranges from plates, chain guides and steel C-profiles to individual drawing parts made of plastic. Founded in 1895, the owner-managed company employs around 130 people and supplies various sectors such as materials handling technology, the filling and packaging industry, the paper industry, the automotive industry, the food industry and mechanical engineering. The product range of Wikiplast, founded in 2012, consists of 100 percent Wefapress materials in the PE sector. In addition, individual plastic parts are manufactured.
